Waiting on Wednesday.....My Soul to Take by Rachel Vincent

I have been pining away for this book ever since it was mentioned last year at RT. I have been keeping my ear to the ground on this new YA series written by one of my favorite paranormal authors, Rachel Vincent. I have looked all over for a cover, but have not found anything YET!!! and not much information has come out about her first YA series. I did find information from a recent interview on BBB

MY SOUL TO TAKE by Rachel Vincent
The Soul Screaming series, is about a teenage bean sidhe (banshee).

As for the premise…

Kaylee Cavanaugh is a high school junior who thinks she’s losing her mind when she’s struck by the grim certainty that someone near her is going to die—and by the irresistible urge to shriek at an ear-drum-bursting pitch in response. But as it turns out, she’s not crazy, people are dying, and Kaylee has what it takes to stop the one responsible—if she’s willing to pay the price…

My Soul to Take comes out on August 1, 2009, and My Soul to Save will hit the shelves in January, 2010.

That is all the information I have for now. As soon as I get anything else I will be sure to post it.

It sounds interesting and has been on my mind for months. I love Rachel Vincent's werecat series and know that she will do great with this YA series

Thanks! I hope you guys like it. I don't have a cover yet, but it shouldn't be long. And we'll have ARCs in a couple of months... ;-)

That is a cool blurb, although her werecat series disappoints me.

Again, I totally blanked out on what to say. Still laughing, but now at this button! Too, too funny!

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
