Waiting on Wednesday: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on. I have decided to participate because I have a list that can go on forever and ever and it is interesting to see what else others are "waiting" for also.

My choice this week is...

THE IRON KING by Julie Kagawa
February 2010 by Harlequin Teen

The Iron king is about a girl named Meghan. Ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fitted in at school or at home. When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she’s known is about to change. But she could never have guessed the truth … that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war.

Now Meghan will learn just how far she’ll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

Doesn't this sound deliciously amazing? I have been having twitter fun with Julie, Sharon and Khy for a while (when I can remember to get on twitter) and I had no idea about Julie's book until after I met her on twitter. She is so much fun and this caused me to check out her site and after I read the synopsis to her debut book I was left...like WOW!! I so want this book. I normally don't post my WOW without a book cover, but I could not wait It was too amazing to pass up.

Congrats Julie and I cannot wait for the book cover reveal in November and then the release in 2010.

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
