SHE FELT HIS ARMS TIGHTEN AROUND HER AS THEY SPIRALED UP, BOURNE ALOFT ON WINGS THAT WERE DARK, BRIGHT AS A NEW STAR.

REVIEW

Kelly Winslow doesn't believe in the existence of faeries, though as a struggling actress playing a major role in her theaters production of A midsummer Night's Dream, she dabbles daily within the realism of fantasy role playing.

However on a fate full night filled with a mysterious stranger, dark shadows and an odd water horse. She begins to realize that her play is much more than fiction.

Sonny Flannery is part of an elite guard chosen to protect the Samhain gates, but once he sets eyes on his beautiful "fire cracker" his love for Kelley grows as strong as his desire to protect her at all costs.

Will their love be doomed, or will it thrive in all that is Wondrous Strange.

Once I finished Wondrous Strange all I could do was kick myself for not reading this darkly romantic and immensely enchanting story surrounding Shakespeare, fairies and love months ago. I cannot begin to sing it's praises and I feel anything that I say will not do it justice. Just go ...no run to your local library or store and get WONDROUS STRANGE for it is a must read.

P.S. I highly recommend listening to this treasure on audio book form because the reader is amazing. She is able to capture the mood of the book and her Irish brogue is spot on brilliant.

This sounds like an enchanting read. I am immediately drawn to the title, the cover is beautiful too. Great review. Will this be a series?

I like the cover also. The book sounds good, is the writing anything like Patricia McKillip?

Late reading this review, but the reader on the audio is actually the author herself who is also an actress. That's why it's so good! :)

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
