Waiting on Wednesday: SHADE by Jeri Smith-Ready

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on. I have decided to participate because I have a list that can go on forever and ever and it is interesting to see what else others are "waiting" for also.

This week's choice comes from a writer whose adult paranormal books I have enjoyed in the best. She will debut her first YA paranormal novel in 2010 with SHADE.

SHADE by Geri Smith-Ready

  • Reading level: Ages 9-12
  • Hardcover: 320 pages
  • Publisher: Simon Pulse (May 18, 2010)

  • When her boyfriend dies a most untimely death, Aura--who can see ghosts--is forced to reconsider her relationship with the living and dead in SHADE.

I wish I had more to share about this novel, but that is all I have for now.

is that the final cover? At any rate, I like it and I really can't wait for the final version of this to come out either. I love Jeri's books, and I need to finish up the rest that I have yet to read! lol She's great though.

Oh, be sure to follow the Leave a Mark...Jeri will be by soon.

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
