Waiting on Wednesday: MATCHED by Ally Condie

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on.

OK!!! now this week's choice is something that I have been pining for ever since I heard Gayle Forman talk about it weeks ago. OMG!! Look at the cover and the story concept....THUD too good to pass up. October cannot get here fast enough

Summary: Cassie has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander’s face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate… until she sees Ky Markham’s face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her its a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she’s destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can’t stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society’s infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path that no one else dared to follow.

Oh wow! I've seen this a few times, but didn't know what it was about. It's gotta be horrible not being able to make your own choice on who to be with. I'll be adding this one to my list.

This was my featured cover of the week! :D I can't wait until a longer description is released - though I would have checked it out based solely on the cover art!

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
