REVIEW YYYY

Are you ready for a summer read that you can dive into? Well look no further, because FORGIVE MY FINS is a great read filled with land loving fun and under the sea excitement.

Terra Lynn Child's knows how to spin a tale with her new mermaid adventure that has just the right amount of whimsy, romance and danger to keep you guessing while your having a good chuckle.

FORGIVE MY FINS centers on Lily, a girl that is a mermaid-out-of-water..and it's no joke because she recently discovered that she is half human and is given a chance to experience life above sea level. Lily adapts well to her new life and even develops a crush on Brody the star swimmer and resident hunk at her high school. Life seems near perfect except for the constant teasing and unrelentless taunts from her next door neighbor Quince. Life would be swimmingly smooth if he would just disappear, but that is so not an option when a case of mistaken identity links them together and it only a King's order can change it. AHHHH!! What is a girl with fins to do? Lily obliges her father's wishes because she wants to prove that she is not a chicken of the sea, and as a result she comes to realize that her feelings towards Quince are changing. A fact that is hates...or does she? Only the sea will tell.

I truly enjoyed this new world and adventure that Tera Lynn Childs has created. FORGIVE MY FINS is full great moments: snarky lines, romance and breathtaking underwater splendor that is imaginatively vivid. I am also a huge fan of Quince and Lily because they had perfect romantic tension that made me want to keep reading more.

If you enjoyed OH. MY. GODS! and GODESS BOOT CAMP then you are sure to enjoy this new splash in the YA paranormal genre.

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
