Waiting on Wednesday: CLARITY by Kim Harrington

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on.

Recently there have been some amazing books that have reached my radar but not have gotten my attention as much as CLARITY by Kim Harrington. The cover is beautiful and eerie while the book description has me pining for it like nobody's business.

Now that you know my WOW for this week. What is yours?

SCHOLASTIC March 2011

Clarity "Clare" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch an object and the visions come to her. It's a gift.

And a curse.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case — but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare's brother — who has supernatural gifts of his own — becomes the prime suspect, and Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?

Doesn't that make you want to pre-order it NOW?

I am now following your blog. It is so creative. I am a middle school intensive reading teacher who also has a passion for YA reads. My students are LD and Dyslexic. Many have NEVER read a book. It breaks my heart that they are missing so much.

Thanks for featuring CLARITY!

I adore your blog header, btw. It's gothically awesome. :)

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
