Waiting on Wednesday: DIE FOR ME by Amy Plum

Jill over at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on.

This time I have selected DIE FOR ME by Amy Plum. The cover is simply stunning which immediately drew me to it. Then I checked out what this novel was about and I was intrigued by it's mysterious tones. Yes, this book is now on my wishlist.

What is your WOW for this week?

DIE FOR ME

05/10/11

DIE FOR ME is the first of three books about Kate, a sixteen-year-old American who moves to Paris after the death of her parents. She finds herself falling for Vincent, who she discovers is not the typical French teenager he appears: he is something else entirely.
"[...] the series introduces a new kind of zombie mythology in which the undead are “re-animated humans”— they look just like us—and don't feast on brains but, instead, carry out special missions. [...] the Hollywood pitch for the book would be: “Twilight...in Paris...with zombies.” (Publishers Weekly)

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
