The Fallen Legacies:
Before Number Four, there were One, Two, and Three. Until now we've only known that the Mogadorians caught Number One in Malaysia. Number Two in England. And Number Three in Kenya. But all of that is about to change.

In i am number four: the lost files: the fallen legacies, you'll learn the true story behind these ill-fated members of the Garde. Before they were murdered by the Mogadorians, before Number Four was next, they were all just kids on an alien planet called Earth—discovering their powers, trying to stay hidden, and running for their lives.

My Thoughts:

Years ago when I decided to broaden my reading horizons I chose I AM NUMBER FOUR as my first attempt at sci-fi. Although I know that it is considered sci-fi light, I really did enjoy it for it was an entertaining story focused on a premise that was unique and endearing. Now, the third book in this series THE RISE OF NINE, will soon hit book shelves everywhere but in the mean time I AM NUMBER FOUR: The Lost Files is centered on the first three deceased Lorian citizens and their legacies along with the back story for number six and nine.

I AM NUMBER FOUR: The Lost Files is the perfect read for those fans of the series like I am. It was an honest, pathos filled adventure partly focused on the legacies bestowed upon the deceased Lorian exiled members. I found the manner in which those legacies were chronicled to be ingenious and very engaging. I will not go into detail because I don't want to spoil this well written favorite bit but I enjoyed it despite the fact that I know how their stories ended. Well played.

The other sections of this book concentrate on number six and number nine respectively.  I always wanted to know more about Six's back story and so I was very excited to read about her and her Cepan and how she came to be the killer, kick-ass character that she is when this series began. Although I find her to be the most fascinating character within this series I am now totally fan girling over number nine. His story was intense, highlighted with moments of anguish that was amazing to witness. I could not get enough of his story and as soon as I was finished I wanted to go back for more.

As previously stated, fans of this series will seriously adore this. Their is a lot of new material that will satisfy and keep you engaged until the next book comes out in August.

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
