Living in the bay area has given me some amazing book signing opportunities and another one is coming my way. GIRL'S NIGHTMARE OUT is Tor Teen's upcoming book tour with some of it's top notch YA authors.  Just check out the information below that is posted on the TOR book site.

Tor Books is sending paranormal young adult authors Kendare Blake, Lisa Desrochers, and Marta Acosta to your town! Catch them out on tour, on Twitter, and read new and excerpts from their new books!

Lisa Desrochers burst onto the YA scene in September 2010 with her debut novel Personal Demons, which was an ALA/YALSA Popular Paperback for Young Adults nominee and a Library Journal "Fall First" selection. Desrochers second installment Original Sin received rave reviews and now Tor Books is proud to announce the release of the conclusion to the thrilling Personal Demons series, Last Rite.

Kendare Blake enthralled New York Times bestselling authors, reviewers, fans, and bloggers alike with her debut novel, Anna Dressed in Blood. Blake adeptly weaves the familiar and the unexpected into a genre-bending, refreshing new take on paranormal romance. Now, she’s back with her eagerly anticipated sequel, Girl of Nightmares.

Marta Acosta’s gothic novel Dark Companion, written as an homage to Jane Eyre, is a lush romantic tale about an orphaned teenager who is chosen to attend an exclusive private school where things are not exactly as they seem. It was originally published on where it garnered over 25,000 reads and became the top YA novel on the site.

These wonderful authors will be coming out on tour to the SF bay area at KEPLER'S on Friday, August 24th at 7:00 p.m. It is going to be an awesome event and I am sure to attend. I hope to see you there.

**although KEPLER'S is currently closed for re-construction it will honor this event and will be opened at 6:30pm**

Aw, so bummed to be missing out on this one! But we're off to Monterey for the weekend to a Mumford & Sons concert! Sad that this tour won't be hitting Books, Inc. :(

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
