Waiting on Wednesday: THE PREY by Andrew Fukuda

Jill at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on.

This Wednesday I am WoWing THE PREY by Andrew Fukuda, it is book two in The Hunt series and I absolutely cannot wait to read this next installment. I don't know about you but THE HUNT scared the pants right off me. It was a book that did not romanticize vampires while having a storyline that was insanely wild and intriguing. I simply adored it and cannot wait to find out what happens next...AGGGGG! The torture is killing me.

The second book in the electrifying The Hunt trilogy — perfect for fans ofThe Hunger Games!

For Gene and the remaining humans, death is just a heartbeat away. On the run and hunted by society, they must find a way to survive in The Vast... and avoid the hungry predators tracking them in the dark. But they're not the only things following Gene. He's haunted by the girl he left behind and his burgeoning feelings for Sissy, the human girl at his side.

When they discover a refuge of exiled humans living high in the mountains, Gene and his friends think they're finally safe. Led by a group of intensely secretive elders, the civilization begins to raise more questions than answers. A strict code of behavior is the rule, harsh punishments are meted out, young men are no where to be found - and Gene begins to wonder if the world they've entered is just as evil as the one they left behind. As life at the refuge grows more perilous, he and Sissy only grow closer. In an increasingly violent world, all they have is each other... if they can stay alive.

I adored The Hunt so I'm super excited for The Prey! xD Although I am disappointed Gene's switching love interests so quickly and there's no mention of Ashley June. :P
Great pick! ^__^

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
