Jill at Breaking the Spine started this and I believe that it's awesome" This blog post is to alert those that visit about "the" book that we cannot wait to get our hands on.  This week I am waiting...waiting...waiting for SPIRIT and DUST by Rosemary Clement-Moore. Can we talk about how crazy amazing the cover to this book is? Like WOW! Then the concept of this book hits me and I am like, "sign me up now" I can talk to dead people and Mob bosses? It's like a dream come true. Now that you know about my WoW, what is yours? I would love to know.

Speaking to the dead is no new thing for Daisy Goodnight. The living, on the other hand, can occasionally be a problem. Especially when they knock you out, kidnap you, and force you to be their magical police dog.

Donald Maguire—mob boss, extraordinaire—has a missing daughter and Daisy is his first choice to track her down. But he didn't actually ask her for help. When she woke up in his guest bedroom, she was told. But why her? And who—or what—in the world is the Black Jackal?

Sounds interesting - is this YA or adult?

LOL - of course, I see the young reader bit AFTER I post the question.

So, now I'll be waiting to see what it's like, if it's good for a middle school library, or too mature for that. :)

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
