Sixteen-year-old Noa has been a victim of the system ever since her parents died. Now living off the grid and trusting no one, she uses her computer-hacking skills to stay safely anonymous and alone. But when she wakes up on a table in an empty warehouse with an IV in her arm and no memory of how she got there, Noa starts to wish she had someone on her side.

Enter Peter Gregory. A rich kid and the leader of a hacker alliance, Peter needs people with Noa’s talents on his team. Especially after a shady corporation threatens his life. But what Noa and Peter don’t realize is that Noa holds the key to a terrible secret, and there are those who’d stop at nothing to silence her for good.

Filled with action, suspense, and romance, this first book in a new trilogy offers readers nonstop thrills.

My Thoughts:

From the moment I read about DON'T TURN AROUND I knew that I had to read it. A story based on Internet espionage filled with action and bits of romance, what is not to enjoy? I guarantee that once you begin you will not want to stop.

As this story begins I become entranced by the main character, Noa. She is a wicked smart teen that makes her living by being a well respected hacker. Unfortunately she wakes up in the most dire of circumstances only to escape. While trying to figure things out she is contracted for a job and that is where Peter enters the picture. Peter owns a hacker site that is one day destroyed after he decides to investigate some dealings that his father is involved in. Needless to say that action leads him into a world of trouble and he then relies on Noa to help figure it all out. What they don't realize is that together they will uncover something that can only mean certain death.

DON'T TURN AROUND is a great read. This book totally reminded me of the movie THE NET infused with parts of VERONICA MARS. It had a fast pace that kept my interest and the plot was intriguing while being current and fresh. Any story that has the internet as part of it's storyline is very fascinating for me because it is such a large part of our culture and I was quite entertained by it. I also enjoyed how Noa, was portrayed. An intelligent teen who is the result of a system gone bad and whom had to rely on herself to succeed and get by. Noa uses her smarts and her instincts to survive and It was refreshing to read about. Peter is also a well likable character. He is charismatic, handsome and smart and he is the perfect balance to Noa's rougher edges. Together they make great time.

If you enjoy a good book that is loaded with action, mystery and a great storyline then you cannot miss DON'T TURN AROUND. It will not disappoint and it will keep you well entertained.

I would love to see what you have to say :)

“Reading is everything. Reading makes me feel like I've accomplished something, learned something, become a better person. Reading makes me smarter. Reading gives me something to talk about later on. Reading is the unbelievably healthy way my attention deficit disorder medicates itself. Reading is escape, and the opposite of escape; it's a way to make contact with reality after a day of making things up, and it's a way of making contact with someone else's imagination after a day that's all too real. Reading is grist. Reading is bliss.”
