Amazon, B&N, Goodreads
After an event that changed Sydney and Adrian’s lives forever, Sydney struggles to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring Marcus Finch, a former Alchemist who pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her. And when Sydney comes face to face with an evil magic user, she finally begins to embrace the mysterious magic she knows she holds within . . .
THE INDIGO SPELL has been a highly anticipated read for me and when I was given the opportunity to read an advanced copy I was beyond ecstatic and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. Returning to Palm Springs with the Sydney Scooby gang was exactly what I needed and wow! did Richelle know how to kick things up a notch. As the story begins Sydney becomes the focal point in two major plots, one of which involved her relying on resident smexy bady boy, Adrian. Grrrrr.... now that was some genius writing that really melted my butter while making me grip my book for dear life because things just got a lot more dangerous. Meanwhile, a new character is introduced who causes Sydney to question the very thing she has always prided herself on being. This new BLOODLINES story is quick paced, filled with moments of non-stop action, mystery and hot romance, ahhh yeay, baby! Believe me you will not be sorry.
After reading THE GOLDEN LILY my heart was very heavy and I actually had a physical reaction of sorts. Basically it involved me throwing my book across the room and using some choice words to cuss out a fictional character that really could not hear the verbal diarrhea that was spilling out of my mouth. Where your ears burning Sydney? I hope so!!! LOL! Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. So, you can imagine that when I picked up THE INDIGO SPELL to read it was with much trepidation, even though it was my MUST read for this year. Yet, despite my fears I plunged forward and was left with a lighter heart and a big cheesy grin. Why the grin? Well I won't go into details because I believe that is a journey that the reader must take and enjoy, but I will say that......no, sorry can't do it.
THE INDIGO SPELL by Richelle Mead is my favored read of this series for all the love that is Adrian Ivashkov and I know fans of this devilishly smexy vampire with mad mojo skills will also agree. So, on Tuesday, February 12th. Everyone needs to run down to their local indie and pick up a copy and then we can all discuss :)
Favorite ADRIAN IVASHKOV moment:
“Wow,” said Adrian. He sat down on the bed and tested its bounciness, giving it a nod of approval. “This is amazing. What do you think, buttercup?”
“I have no words,” I said honestly.
He patted the spot beside him. “Want to try it out?”
